My friend and I found this on Amazon and ordered it to follow through with a prank after I just had radiation for cancer. I have a sister who is a little…no…a lot difficult, and she was all freaked out about her dog being around me while I was recovering from radiation, which is ridiculous. The doctors told me everyone was safe to be around me but she was being very difficult. She was staying with my dad for a week and I was staying there also because it was close to the hospital. My friend came up with a diabolical scheme and this was a must have to pull it off. She drove all over town trying to find glow in the dark face paint but after Halloween, no one carries it. I found this here on Amazon and it was delivered the next day! While my sister was out, we put this on my hands and them I put a few large hand prints on her dog and on the RV door handle she was staying (she wouldn’t sleep in the house with me because she thought I was radioactive) and on the kitchen counter. It worked like a charm. AS soon at it got dark, everything lit up like a Christmas tree. I have to tell you, It was the best prank I have ever pulled and it could not have happened without this perfect glow in the dark paint! It is harmless and wears off quickly. I did fill her in on the joke before they pulled up stakes and started to leave town. But it was a prank that makes having cancer kinda fun. 🙂 Don’t judge me! 😉

I bought this stuff for my Halloween costume – Fiona from Shrek. Everyone was amazed with how great it looked. It went on easily with just fingertips, a thin coat gave a great color result, stayed in place all day, and came off with just soap and water. Perfect for my need and would buy again in other colors as needed.

I bought this for my wife as part of an anniversary gift and she couldn’t be happier. A bit of a warning for perspective buyers though: If you live at high elevation (we live in Denver, a mile above sea level) be careful when you open it because this was clearly packaged at or near sea level and it will sort of spew, but it doesn’t stain anything so that’s nice. And thing number 2 is that a little bit goes a long way. My wife wanted this to use as eyeshadow and a tiny little layer covers wonderfully. Use this on your eyelids in too high a quantity and it will eventually heat up and run into your eyes, which apparently burns like hell. Finally, if you are going to be using this on a small area like the eyelids, use a quetip, it works better than a brush because you are not getting this stuff out of that brush and the quetip provides great uniformity.Hope this review helps any perspective buyers.Have a great day and don’t be afraid to live your extra life.

Loved this stuff! I used it for my Halloween makeup, picture posted! Looked great, and went on a pure black color, with a creamy consistency. It did crack a little, which required touch ups throughout the night. No big deal though. Still looked nice!

I bough so, so many tubes of this color for Shrek the Musical. It covers well, blends well, and lasts the whole show. The person playing Shrek would get very sweaty, and this paint held up with only minor touch-ups during intermission.I even thinned it down with airbrush medium in order to spray it on. It worked out great both sponged on and sprayed. Highly recommend.

The color was very nice but I did notice that after a few hours of wear it started to flake off. When it flakes off it gets all over everything so beware of clothes, floors, anything you don’t want green. I used makeup barrier and setting powder. I am sure that this is user error but I guess to get the most out of the product it should have some additional details for long wear. There was no overtly offensive smell, it had a little aroma but nothing that bothered me. Also, DO NOT use a sponge with this. It wastes so much product…. the sponge sucks up all the makeup and the color goes on opaque. I used a brush and it gave me an very nice even coat and great color.

This stuff is bomb! I usually steer away from using face paint because of the following reasons: itchiness or irritation to the skin, difficulty in removing the paint, or peeling of the paint throughout the night. Let me tell you, none of this happened! It was easy to apply and it dries fairly quick. During a party I was at, I was nervous that the paint would make me itchy, irritated or peel. NOPE! Not once did I have to itch my face or the paint wasn’t peeling.When applying, I used one layer but I felt like it was enough and it turned out super green. You don’t need a ton which is great so you can save the tube for the next time you need it. The only thing I would have to say is be careful of getting it on your clothes or other stuff. Some of it came out of my clothes so I was grateful.At the end of the night I was scared if it was going to be hard to take off and if my skin was going to be stained NOT AT ALL!! It came off better than makeup and all I used was water at first and then a makeup wipe to remove the excess. And it didn’t even take that long. This is definitely a face paint to rely on.

This is a review for the Mehron Makeup Fantasy F/X Water Based Face & Body Paint, BLACK – 1oz Carded.Halloween makeup… Usually it comes in the form of a tiny little container that is just a little short from the amount you really need. Well folks, not this time! Both of my kids decided to be black cats, well one was Cat Noir, but you get the picture. I only needed black and I did not want to run out.So I ordered the Mehron Makeup Fantasy F/X Water Based Face & Body Paint, BLACK – 1oz Carded. The task was simple. Whiskers and a nose for my daughter and a black mask for my son. I squeezed out the makeup onto a que tip and went to work. Sure enough, as soon as I was done with my masterpiece, both kids rub their faces and smear the makeup everywhere. Is that part of the Halloween Murphy’s Laws? I suppose it is…Well, typically this would be a problem as Halloween face paint comes in such tiny containers. But I planned ahead. With a quick wipe with a wet wash cloth, the paint was off and I redid the whiskers and mask. By the time I was done, I still had half the bottle left! Now that Halloween is past, I am not sure what to do with the remaining black facepaint… I am open to suggestions…If by chance I have the opportunity to order one color of facepaint again for Halloween and its black, I’m totally buying this product again.

I usually have very sensitive skin and any oil based face paint makes my skin look like a teenage skin for a week or so. I really like this paint. No rashes, no irritations. It is easy to mix colors and it applies smoothly. As it is water based it is subject to smearing if you sweat a lot. I use the fixing spray and this really solves that problem for me.

(First picture is beginning of the day around 1pm, second is around 5pm, third is Snazaroo royal blue face paint on a different day after 5+ hours of use, drinking and eating)Pros:-nice coverage with careful application and a nice brush-Vibrant, saturated color-Dries relatively quickly-Stays on well over liquid latexCons:-Even after priming my skin before application and applying Mehron setting powder, it started flaking after 1 hour or less, especially around my neck and chest (might be because I have naturally dry skin, but still)-Required multiple touch-ups over the course of a few hours-came out lighter than I expected; it seemed darker in the picture onlineThe water-activated Snazaroo face paint I used in the third picture was far more durable and more compatible with my skin type. Still required touch ups, but not as frequent, and was truer to color description.
