Purchased for tall 8 year old daughter who wears a 12-14plus. A little big, but I was afraid from the reviews that the childs XL might be too snug. (Trying to get 2 years out of it as she needs it this year for a living history presentation on Thanksgiving, and will have a colonial unit next year.) I am 5’6.5, 140lbs, size 8, and I can wear it – snug around arm pits, but wearable for a costume. Sits about 4″ above my ankles, and is floor length on my daughter. It is the typical costume type material and quality, but totally worth the price in time for me not having to piece together a make-shift costume last minute. Plus it can serve as a nun or witch as well – lots of potential to make it more than worth the $. That’s the nice.The ONE and only negative I have is the same as others. The collar. This is what made it a 4 star instead of 5. Can’t even fit it on my Boston Terrier. See the picture? That is your typical, souvenir size 12 oz mug. No one has a neck that size. Possibly my kids as newborns did. I can cinch it at the top of my neck so it looks like it is choking me (becuase it is), but it is definitely not the draped-around-neck look on the model. I will probably just snip it in the back like another review mentioned.

This costume came in nice time, and I was surprised at how well-made it seems. Actual zipper close I. Back and not just Velcro tabs. Dress, apron and collar seem like reasonably nice fabric. Unlike other reviews, the collar was great — a nice size and fairly well made. The bonnet, however, was definitely a child’s size! Tiny! There is no way it would fit my adult head. It perched on top of my head more like a nurse’s cap than a Pilgrim bonnet! It fit a bit bigger than expected. For that reason and the silly bonnet, I decided to go with a different costume I had ordered online. The other costume was not as nice, but it is more comfortable and the bonnet fits well. Overall, shipped in nice time, surprising quality, a nice value for the money, but oh, that tiny bonnet!

This was not an inexpensive outfit. It was purchased to be used as a period piece for a high school project. I did expect the pieces to at least hold together the first time it was used. Instead, as soon as the bonnet straps were touched, they came apart from the bonnet. It appears that they were only held together by a single thread. Very disappointing — my wife had to sew the straps back on.The dress and apron were fine. But the collar piece that goes around the neck still had the seams tucked in from when it was sewn together. The seams had to be extracted so it provided the neck to shoulder coverage as pictured — but, there was no way the piece even came close to the shoulders. The diameter of the opening for the neck was about 3 inches — it looked like it would be about the right size for a toddler. My daughter waited until the last minute to let us know she needed this so there wasn’t time to return it and try another one — she just went with it and let the collar gape open because there was no way it was going to fasten together with the velcro.The seller shipped the outfit right away and it arrived on time. Would I buy from this seller again? Yes. Would I buy this outfit from the same manufacturer again. Absolutely not.

Fit on the dress was great. I’m a size 12-14 and bought the XL. I’m about 5′ 7″, and the length was a little short, but it didn’t effect the look of the outfit. I did not get to wear the collar, as the neck hole was too small. Like a bracelet size, not a neck size…. the apron strings were long enough to tie into a bow but not much extra length after.Overall the costume was exactly what I needed it for. And I am pleased with my purchase 🙂

Very authentic. Thicker than most costumes. No slip needed. Hat is made to “sit” on top of your head, not go over it. Gives it a poof look which is nice.

To a certain extent, you get what you pay for. This is a polyester outfit, but for Halloween, it actually comes off quite well. I’ve also washed it, and the makeup stains (I went as a Salem witch, so there was some “burned at the stake” makeup involved) came right out so this is a costume that I will certainly keep and use again. My only complaint about the fit is that the bib’s neck was way too small. I had to cut it in the back to make it fit properly, and I’m not especially large in the neck area. The hat stayed on well, though, and was super cute.

I bought this for a Florence Nightingale custome for Nursing school. And it was great, we have been using it for almost 3 years and Its nice quality, easy to wash and iron.

The fabric is far superior to any “costumes” I have previously purchased. A bit stiff but it will last and wear very well.

This has the potential to be a great costume if just a few tweaks were made. The top is really small in comparison to the bottom. I usually easily fit into a medium and the top fit like an extra small. The bottom half of the costume fit like a medium. I just smashed the girls and used it, with no time to find another costume. The collar was so small it fit my six year old, so just safety pin it to use it….plus the collar stitching was not finished so a portion of the collar was raw edged. For $25.00 there could have been a little more effort on these details. I know $25.00 may not sound like much but there are a number of stores you can buy items on sell, with better quality material and put together an outfit. It was the ease of this, due to my schedule. So I used it but would like to have had just a little more quality control.
