attractive costume! Really a great deluxe version. I’d recommend buying a separate crown as it isn’t as high quality as the rest of costume. There is a hoop in the bottom of skirt that is adjustable and makes the dress very full. Fit slightly large. I bought size medium and should have gone with small. The dress is also very long. 5’7 and wore with 3inch heels and still touched the ground. Would be easy to hem shorter. I am 150lb 36-29-40

I was very apprehensive after reading the previous reviews of this costume. And I had serious doubts….but oh my niceness, it was absolutely fantastic. I wore it to a Mad Hatter’s Ball…and did it ever turn heads. I ordered the medium and had plenty of room (could have taken it up for a better fit, but I was comfortable the entire night). I wear a 36C. This costume was better than the paid actors who were working the event. The hoop skirt underneath was very easy to put together. The waist adjust to any size. I wore heels with it. I had to be mindful to pick up my skirt when I walked. The construction was very nice and it held up very well. I will be able to wear this next year for Halloween. And for years to come.

This is an extremely nice costume! It was packaged nicely-no wrinkles or tears. It looks much more expensive than it actually cost. It is comfortable to wear (I wore it all day at school for a challenge win). The complaints about the sleeves being small were no problem to me. I did order the large and I wear a size 6 and the large fit me well, so it DOES run small. Also, the crown is a piece of crap, so that is why I took it down a star. I wore my own rhinestone crown instead. But the dress itself is well made and well worth the cost. I am 5′ 4″ and with the hoop and petticoat on I had little trouble walking in it with heels on. Great costume overall!

I liked the way this looked, and the hoop worked great; but the costume was sized way too small. We bought an adult medium for my 12 year old, who is 5′ 6″ and 120 lbs. The length and sleeve length were just right, but the costume was far too small to do up from the waist to the neck. At the middle of the back, the gap was about five inches. We held the costume together with safety pins at the bottom of the back and the neck, and my daughter wore a cape over it to hide the gap. Seems a bit ridiculous that a 12 year old would need at least an adult large – maybe bigger. (My 15 year old, who is taller, but shaped like a pencil, couldn’t do it up either.)

So – I purchased this costume after reading all the reviews and “5 star comments” – After receiving it and wearing it…. I wear a size 8 and ordered a large as recommended – it was still SMALL on top… VERY tight and needed help getting in and out of it. It LOOKS very tight in all my photos… (“busty” comments… nice.) the heart folded over on top and I had to stitch it to the “black” on the sides to try to get it to stop doing that . The zipper was unsewn and inside out at the bottom and I had to fix that. The wire for the hoop skirt was broken and has to be “fed” into the skirt seam and that was a PAIN! it is a string closure and you have to tie it fairly tight to keep it up. The collar does NOT stand up… no starch, no ironing – nothing keeps it up – so wear it down, or I had to open up the lace and insert clear plastic stays to keep it up – it still flopped down all night – if I kept flipping it up it would stay for a bit, but got really annoying… it it a heavy costume when walking you have to lift up the skirt. Bathroom use is like wearing a wedding dress and you need help! (lol) True story… I felt really big in it – so if you are weight conscience – this is not for you! the side bustles make that worse! By the end of the night the wire in the hoop slip broke in several places and was poking my legs, also not fun… I am 5’2 and is was really really long – Even in almost 5 inch heels (which I wore) it was still dragging on the ground – so again, as I walked I had to pick it up all the time… the crown is junk and I did not use it. (dollar store) I had a red wig I purchased with a crown attached in a heart shape (Disney store – perfect) All that being said – make up and all – I got many compliments that night and photos taken with me…… Suggestions- SHOP AROUND for price! I paid too much (130) a local costume shop told me they could have ordered it for about 40 – 50 dollars.. (boo too) Use a hoop skirt from a used bridal salon and NOT the one that comes with the costume. The collar? If I had more time I would have removed it and made my own with different materials, but if you don’t sew, it will drive you nuts if it does not stand up. I would have needed an XL !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Which bums me out being an 8 ! Who makes these things? Oh wait….. pretty sure I can guess…..

The dress is very nice to get you into character. I added the big red heart shaped wig (also from Amazon) and together the outfit was perfect!I’m 5’3″ so it was way too long on me even with heals on. I ended up using that fabric tape (iron on) to shorten the front white section since I can’t sew very well. Worked like a charm. I left the back red part long and it didn’t seem to bother me too much.I’m size 4 normally and the medium fit me fine.The hoop is great but it came out eventually and poked my leg when wearing. Doesn’t feel nice. I recommend applying duck tape over hoop seams.

I just received my costume today. After reading the reviews, I decided to try both the med and large (I’m 5’5, 140 lbs, apple shape). I normally wear a size small in top, and about an 8 in bottoms. Neither of these fit me. Even the large was way too tight in the bust and the arms (it would of been extremely uncomfortable to wear all evening). It’s a attractive costume so I’m disappointed the sizing is so off. Both are going to have to be returned. If you carry your weight more in the lower half of your body this will work better for you, but if you’re apple shape, the torso and bust is too small.

Great costume came together attractively until i had to zip it up over my bust. Im 36 in bust and got a medium…should have gotten the large or maybe extra large, it wasn’t just a tight fit there was a 2in gap on the zipper i even put on a shaping for real corset thinking that would help…nope.

The dress looked great on. The quality is better in person then in picture. The only issue I had was with the upper sleeve. The upper part of the sleeve felt a bit snug (I have broad shoulders/w muscle tone) and the hoop was a little off. It looked great regardless and the hoop is easy to fix or can even be worn without. It comes in a nice storage bag that allows you to store the dress, undergarments, necklace and crown nicely and in a hanging position. The dress arrived as stated. This is a great costume at a very nice price.

It would be hard to fit everyone, and will require alteration. But here are some things to keep in mind. My daughter is a long, very thin 6-8 in everyday clothing. We bought medium. She is 5’5″ 108, with a long torso. The torso on this dress was even longer than she. It fits very tight even though her measurements are less than the stated for size medium. The back/torso is narrow, and the arms are tight, however, the bust fits too loosely, and too low. She is a small breasted, so if you are bigger up front, it will fit better. But you better be thin and long. With full hoop, the dress is still much too long by at least 3 inches. If you look at the picture, it will need to be hemmed nearly to the red band for my 5’5″ daughter with full hoops. Material is typical costume fabric. This is not one hundred dollar quality by a long shot. The dress arrived less than 24 hours after purchase.
